Windswept Parasols

"Windswept Parasols" from the fashion history exhibit "Tattered and Torn, On the Road to De-accession” on display on Governor’s Island. on display are: a collection of Victorian parasols, 1865-1900 (lent by the Saratoga Springs History Museum); a lace over dress, c.1915-1920; a polished silk overcoat, c.1905-1910 - made of heavyweight moire silk. I Know Where I’m Going

Midtown Manhattan, New York.

I recently got a vintage Olympus XA2 35mm film camera, loaded it with Kodak TriX and this is one of the first shots I got, taken in front of the steps at the New York Post Office near 34th Street. It is a very handy little point-and-shoot, quick to focus, no shutter lag, whisper quiet and unobtrusive; perfect for street photography.
